The renewal and application processes are now open for faculty/staff parking permits for the 2025-26 academic year.
UB is now using a license plate recognition system (LPR), a virtual system that allows drivers to use their license plate as their parking permit. UB’s LPR uses optical character recognition technology to read license plates and match them to the information in the university’s parking database.
Parking permit registration must be completed annually; the 2024-25 “virtual” permits expire on June 30.

The cost for the permit is $15 for faculty and staff; it is free to volunteers and retirees. The UB QuikPAY system accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover cards, and e-checks.
